Transport Assessments

PPG 13 (Planning Policy guidance Note 13: Transport) places emphasis on the integration of land use planning and transportation. The objectives are to promote more sustainable transport choices and to reduce the need to travel, particularly by car.

This obligates both Government and developers to promote schemes that conform with these objectives. Theses objectives can often conflict and it becomes necessary to negotiate between the different perspectives.
