Hannah-Reed have prepared Strategic Catchment Reviews for many of the lowland drainage Districts around Ely. These help the Internal Drainage Boards to identify an optimal management strategy to provide efficient land drainage and flood protection to the districts for the next 50 years.
Coupled with ecconomic appraisal, these schemes have been submitted to Defra in application for grant aid toward the recommended flood defence capital works programme. Typically the stations feature ageing diesel plant that are no longer serviceable and schemes have been developed for their replacement with new pumping stations with electric plant, or refurbushment where practicable and cost effective.
Hannah-Reed offer a weath of experience in project managing and designing these complex multi-disciplined schemes from concept, through detailed design to the final implementation. Hannah-Reed have pioneered the use of the NEC contract forms in delivering these project to programme and budget; and delivered the first project nationally to use the NEC3 form.
